PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating implement for a microwave oven, which is easily manufactured, capable of exhibiting sufficient strength, and excellent in heat generation and heat insulating performance. SOLUTION: A ceramic sintered body is put into a furnace, and LP gas is fed to perform the carburizing process under high-temperature environment. Then, carbon is deposited on the surface of the ceramic sintered body and into pores constituting a porous structure to form a carbon thin-film layer.
