<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting indium in its own process so as not to discharge indium to the outside of the system (such as zinc-smelting process) as much as possible, at a high yield and a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This method for collecting indium comprises: the step of leaching In, Cu and Cd contained in a raw material into an acid solution to obtain an acid leaching solution; the first step of adding S<SP>0</SP>into the solution to convert a part of Cu into copper sulfide to obtain slurry; the second step of adding a sulfidizing agent into the slurry to convert the rest of Cu into a sulfide and obtain a copper-eliminated solution and a copper residue; a sulfidizing step of adding a sulfidizing agent into the copper-eliminated solution to obtain a sulfide; an SO<SB>2</SB>leaching step of blowing SO<SB>2</SB>gas into the sulfide in an acid solution to obtain an SO<SB>2</SB>leaching solution and an S<SP>0</SP>-containing residue; the step of returning the S<SP>0</SP>-containing residue to the first step as S<SP>0</SP>. The method preferably further comprises the steps of: precipitating a sponge by adding zinc dust to the SO<SB>2</SB>leaching solution; leaching the sponge; adding a sulfidizing agent to the leaching solution to convert Cd into the sulfide and produce a refined indium solution; and electrolyzing the refined indium solution to obtain high purity indium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
