PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily manage image data stored in a storage means in an image processor generating the image data and registering them in the storage means. SOLUTION: When image reading request is inputted from the user through a personal computer 90 or an operation panel 6, the image is read by a scanner part 4 to generate the image data, and a histogram showing a density distribution of the read image is generated on the basis of a pixel value of each pixel forming the generated image data. A black pixel ratio of the image data or kind information such as an image kind or the like showing the kind of the image is specified on the basis of the generated histogram, the specified kind information is added to the image data, and are stored in a prescribed storage destination.
