PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand rim for a wheelchair which is more lightweight, stronger and safer than conventional types by forming the hand rim for a wheelchair which is hollow and has a shell made of the fiber-reinforced resin material, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The hand rim 1 has a shell formed of the fiber-reinforced resin material and a shell structure having a hollow portion inside and takes the shape of an annulus as the whole, and is integrally formed.
