PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust demand from each room in selecting one operation mode from a plurality of operation modes in a multi-room air conditioner having a heat source unit switchable to the plurality of operation modes different in noise reduction levels. SOLUTION: A heat source side control portion 20 of the air conditioner 1 comprises an operation mode assigning portion 22 and an operation mode setting portion 23. The air conditioner 1 has a heat source unit 2 and a plurality of use units 3. The heat source unit 2 is switchable to the plurality of operation modes different in noise reduction levels. The operation mode assigning portion 22 assigns one operation mode to each of the use units 3 in operation. The operation mode setting portion 23 sets the heat source unit 2 to the prescribed operation mode in a case when the prescribed operation modes are assigned to all of the use units 3 in operation on the basis of the operation modes respectively assigned to the use units 3 in operation by the operation mode assigning portion 22.
