<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficient throughput for data transmission between a master unit station and a slave unit station by more optimizing communication band assignments to a plurality of slave unit stations. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical communication system, a user data detection section 26 of a slave unit station 20 monitors the traffic of data to be transmitted to a master unit station 10. An OMA control section 23 outputs to an optical conversion section 21 a registration erasure message for erasing the registration of one of slave unit stations 20-1 to 20-n indicating that transmission/reception of data with the master unit station 10 is permitted if the time measured by a timer 28 exceeds a predetermined time. A data control section 24 cuts off data transmission with the master unit station 10 thereafter. An OMA control section 13 of the master unit station 10 erases the registration of the relevant slave unit station based on the registration erasure message received from the optical conversion section 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
