<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact round fluorescent lamp which has proper appearance, is superior in assembling efficiency, and offers high safety. <P>SOLUTION: The round fluorescent lamp includes a double spiral light-emitting tube, so structured that a continuous discharge path forms an almost circle planar emission surface; and a support member which is so disposed as to traverse the center of the light-emitting tube, and has a mouth piece at the center and light-emitting tube holding portions on both ends of the support member. The mouth piece has four power supply connection terminals, projecting from the support member surface side that is not tangent to the light-emitting tube, and the light-emitting tube holders have spaces housing the ends of the light-emitting tube. A support member body, extending from the mouth piece to each of the two light-emitting tube holders, is provided with two paris of terminal coupling members each having one end connected to one power supply connection terminal, and the other end facing the space of the light-emitting tube holding portion. In the space of each of the two light-emitting tube holders, an electrode lead wire from an end of the light-emitting tube is connected to an end of the terminal coupling member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
