PROPYLENE RANDOM BLOCK COPOLYMER, RESIN COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THE COPOLYMER, AND MOLDINGS OF BOTH

A propylene random block copolymer (A) which has a melt flow rate of 0.1 to 100g/10min and a melting point of 100 to 155°C, characterized by being composed of 90 to 60wt% of a segment (D_insol) insoluble in n-decane at room temperature and 10 to 40wt% of a segment (D_sol) soluble in n-decane at room temperature, with D_insol satisfying the following requirements (1) to (3) and D_sol satisfying the following requirement (4) to (6); and moldings such as sheet, film, injection moldings, hollow moldings, injection blow moldings, and fibers, which are made by using the copolymer (A) or propylene resin compositions containing the copolymer (A): (1) D_insol has a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.0 to 3.5 as determined by GPC, (2) the content of skeletons resulting from ethylene in D_insol is 0.5 to 13% by mole, (3) the total content of 2,1- and 1,3-propylene units in D_insol is 0.2% by mole or below, (4) D_sol has a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.0 to 3.5 as determined by GPC, (5) D_sol has a limiting viscosity [?] of 1.5 to 4dl/g as determined in decalin at 135°C, and (6) the content of skeletons resulting from ethylene in D_sol is 15 to 35% by mole.
