PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system, an authentication server, an authentication method and a computer-readable authentication control program for preventing unauthorized use thereby improving security by surely and easily performing authentication. SOLUTION: Registration authentication information as identification information including positional information near a transaction terminal 3 in use and time information is transmitted from a terminal 4 for registration to an authentication authority 2 via the Internet 9, authentication request information including the present positional information and time information is transmitted from a terminal 5 for authentication request to the authentication authority 2 via the Internet 9, the authentication authority 2 performs authentication by collating the authentication request information with the registration authentication information and when the authentication has been performed, transmits authentication results and predetermined commodity information to the transaction terminal 3 via a business network.
