PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head in which erasing after recording is prevented and stability is high. SOLUTION: In the magnetic head provided with a thin film magnetic head for perpendicular magnetic recording provided with a main magnetic pole having a tip part for opposing to a magnetic recording medium and a coil exciting the main magnetic pole, the tip part or at least a part of the main magnetic pole is made a soft magnetic multi-layer film including a lamination object having anti-parallel coupling layer formed at a first ferromagnetic film, a second ferromagnetic film, and between the first ferromagnetic film and the second ferromagnetic film, the anti-parallel coupling layer couples the first ferromagnetic film and the second ferromagnetic film between layers in an anti-ferromagnetic state.
