PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a technology for performing automatic reconnection after time-out. SOLUTION: This session management system 10 is provided with a Web server 12 and a DB server 14, wherein the Web server 12 is provided with: a means for transmitting a session identification code to a client terminal 18; a means for generating a session management record and for registering it in a session management table 26; a means for extracting data necessary for the resumption of a session from a memory when communication with the client terminal 18 is disconnected for a predetermined time, and for storing the data in a saved data storage part 30; a means for recording the storage area of the saved data into a management record; a means for erasing session relevant data from the memory; a means for referring to the session management table 26 when a reconnection request is transmitted from the client terminal 18, and for specifying the corresponding saved data storage area; a means for extracting the saved data from the saved data area part 30, and for restoring the session information; and a means for setting the session information to the memory.
