PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink with an excellent heat dissipation characteristic and excellent manufacturability which is formed annular as a whole. SOLUTION: The heat sink 1 is configured such that many thin layer fins 3 are formed on an outer circumferential face of an annular belt 2, the fins 3 are formed by cutting and raising thin layers from the surface of a metal made flat plate at a prescribed interval, and the flat plate is bent annularly by directing the fins cut and raised in the thin layers toward the outer circumferential face side to form an annular body. Thus, the thickness of the fins 3 is made thin, the fins 3 can be formed at a shorter pitch, and, as a result, the heat sink with a wide heat exchange area as a whole can be obtained by increasing the density of the fins 3. Further, since the metal made flat plate from which the fins are cut and raised can be configured by being bent annularly, the heat sink with a high fin density can easily be manufactured.
