According to one aspect of the present invention, a mobile platform is identified by an identifier that is included in its transmission. This identifier enables a satellite communication system to monitor interfering transmissions by identifying a mobile platform that may be interfering with its operation, and possibly notifying the interfering mobile station accordingly. According to another aspect of the present invention, by comparison of signals communicated between a mobile platform and a satellite, the mobile platform may detect interference, identify the reasons for the interference, and function to rectify or minimize such interference. |
