<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly develop a curtain member without setting the expansion pressure of the curtain member and the thickness of the curtain member in the direction of the vehicle width to a large value, when required conditions are satisfied. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle comprising a side windowpane 13 which is arranged on the front side of a D pillar trim plate 17 and has its upper end portion located on the outside of a roof trim 12 in the direction of the vehicle width, and a curtain member 3 of a curtain airbag apparatus which develops so as to cover the inner surface of the side windowpane 13 by expanding according to the pressure of the supplied gas from the stored state elongating from the upper portion of a rear pillar to a required lower portion, when required conditions have been satisfied, the vehicle is configured such that the D pillar trim plate 17 is provided with a slot shape opening portion 26 for introducing the webbing 23 of a seat belt means toward the cabin side, and the curtain member 3 develops toward the cabin side via the opening portion 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
