<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug-in unit which increases the number of connectable optical fiber cables and also simplifies processing of optical fiber cable marginal lengths for putting the routes of the connected optical cables in order. <P>SOLUTION: The plug-in unit comprises: a book-shelf type sub-rack 2 provided with a duct 7 for the optical fiber cables in the underside; and an optical plug-in unit 30 mounted along the sub-rack 2. The optical plug-in unit 30 is so configured that the optical cables are connected to a front panel 33 of the optical plug-in unit 30, and is configured to have an optical fiber cable marginal length processing mechanism 60 in the bottom side on the front face of the front panel 33. The mechanism 60 comprises a 1st guide member 61 fixed on the front panel 33, and a 2nd guide member 70 which can be turned. The optical fiber cables are shaped like an inverted S by passing the optical fiber cables between the 1st guide member 61 and the 2nd guide member 70 and turning the 2nd guide member 70. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
