PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a lens barrel having a light quantity adjustment unit, to facilitate assembling and disassembling of the lens barrel, to recycle its components, and to do the like. SOLUTION: The lens barrel includes: a lens cylinder 30 holding lenses G1, G2, and G3 and supported so as to be freely movable in an optical axis direction L; and a light quantity adjustment unit 40 integrally fitted in the lens cylinder 30 and used to open or close an optical path or perform a diaphragm operation. The lens cylinder 30 has a driven part 31a, which is driven in the optical axis direction L, a guided part 31b, which is guided in the optical axis direction L, and a slit 31d formed through a section away from the driven part and guided part and so as to penetrate perpendicular to the optical axis direction L. The light adjustment unit 40 is inserted in the lens cylinder 30 through the slit 31d and fixed to the lens cylinder 30 so as to be freely detachable.
