<p>A method for providing traffic information, and a method and an apparatus using the same are provided to enable a user to use public transportation more efficiently by providing information about an emergency situation, such as a traffic accident, in providing public transport information. In encoding traffic information containing a TPEG(Transport Protocol Experts Group) message, a traffic information providing server makes accident information and location information corresponding to the accident information. The traffic information providing server makes identification information to indicate that the traffic information is the accident information. The traffic information providing server forms a message sequence composed of message segments containing the created information. In this case, the accident information contains information for the progress of an accident.</p> |
