A blue luminescent organic compound and an organic light-emitting diode including the same are provided to show excellent thermal stability and to be useful in formation of a hole and electron injecting/transporting layer. A blue luminescent organic compound has a structure of the formula 1, wherein R1 to R6 are the same or different from each other, and are H, CN, CO2R, SR, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C10 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C4-C30 aryl group, heteroaryl group, cyclic group, heterocyclic group or fused polycyclic group, R is hydrogen, halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C10 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C4-C30 aryl group, heteroaryl group, cyclic group, heterocyclic group or fused polycyclic group. An organic light-emitting diode includes a first electrode having higher work function, a second electrode having lower work function and at least one organic compound layer comprising the organic compound, which is disposed therebetween.
