A nickel saving heat resistant austenitic stainless steel with excellent high temperature properties, which is steel of an inexpensive 23%Cr-13%Ni-1.8%Si-0.04%Ce-0.2%N alloy component system, and has improved high temperature SAG resistance and high temperature oxidation resistance by adding a trace of a W element to the steel, is provided. A nickel saving heat resistant austenitic stainless steel with excellent high temperature properties comprises, by mass percent, 0.1% or less of C, 1.6 to 2.0% of Si, 1.0 to 1.2% of Mn, 21 to 24% of Cr, 12 to 14% of Ni, 0.18 to 0.22% of N, 0.5 to 1.0% of W, 0.01 to 0.06% of Al, 0.002% or less of S, 0.02 to 0.06% of Ce, and the balance of Fe and other inevitable impurities. The austenitic stainless steel further comprises 0.0005% or less of B. |
