<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for rapidly removing the dust deposited in a converter skirt sealing jacket. <P>SOLUTION: The method and apparatus for removing the dust of the converter skirt sealing jacket comprises as follows; firstly, the gas is blown into a direction where the rotating flow in a circumferential direction is formed into the sealing water within the converter skirt jacket; secondly, a gas discharge nozzle 11 is constituted of a plurality of units and is made to discharge the gas in the state of dividing the units to a plurality 12, 13, 14 in the circumferential direction within the sealing jacket; thirdly, the units are arranged by being provided with angles in order to generate the rotating flow in the circumferential direction; and fourthly, the plurality of the discharge nozzles 11 are arranged in at least the trisected units in the circumferential direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
