<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of suppressing the power consumption more than before by supplying power to necessity minimum apparatuses depending on contents of a request received from an external device through a communication means during a power-saving state. <P>SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of an apparatus information processing request (a request of requesting the image processing apparatus to apply prescribed processing to apparatus information) from the external device through a NIC 5 during a sleep mode, an MPU of the NIC 5 and an MPU of each of control sections 6 to 9 discriminate the control sections 6 to 9 (function blocks) required for executing the processing corresponding to the received apparatus information processing request (setting and transmission of apparatus information), automatically switch only the control sections discriminated required into "power application state" by controlling automatic changeover switches 41 to 49 and after the processing in response to the request is executed, the MPUs switch the control sections into original "power interruption state" again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
