<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a flawless/high-quality embossed sheet having a regularly microembossed pattern formed on the surface, with high productivity and at a high line speed. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes manufacturing an embossed sheet with an irregular pattern on the surface of an embossing roller 13, which transfer-forms the pattern on the surface of a sheet W. The method also comprises processes of: (1) continuously running a flexible strip sheet W; (2) applying a radiation-curable resin to the surface of the sheet W and thereby, form a coating layer; (3) winding the sheet W around the rotating embossing roller 13 and transfer the uneven pattern of the roller 13 surface to the coating layer; (4) irradiating the coating layer with radiation in such a state that the sheet W is wrapped around the roller 13, and thereby, curing the coating layer; (5) releasing the sheet W from the embossing roller 13; and (6) cleaning the surface of the embossing roller 13 being rotated after the release of the sheet W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
