PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coupling method for facilitating easy and highly accurate optical coupling between optical devices or between components of the optical devices. SOLUTION: Two or more electro-conductive patterns 211a, 211b are formed along the x-axis on elevation parts near the edges of a recess of a first component 210 composing the optical device. Also, electro-conductive patterns 221a, 221b are formed along the x-axis on the bottom edge parts of a second component 220 composing the optical device. An angleθz of the second component is adjusted so that the electro-conductive pattern 211a is in contact with the electro-conductive pattern 221a in the optimum condition for making current flow across a terminal 212a. Further, the second component 220 is shifted so that the electro-conductive pattern 211b is in contact with the electro-conductive pattern 221b, to adjust the angleθx. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
