<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount or remove blocks from the front or back of an electric illumination display building its surface by using a plural number of blocks. <P>SOLUTION: A cell block 10 is made by forming a matrix of cells 13 each housing one red light-emitting diode 14R, a blue light-emitting diode 14B, and a green light-emitting diode 14G. The display surface 2 is built by housing a number of cell blocks 10 in a box 30. These cell blocks 10 are secured to the bottom plate 32 of the box 30 with spacers 21. The spacers 21 are fixed to the back of the cell blocks 10, with the first screws 17 penetrating the cell block 10 from the front and fixed on the bottom plate 32, with the second screws 24 penetrating the bottom plate 32 from the back side.
