<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooler, controlling high-temperature gas to a predetermined temperature by varying a heat transfer area in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This gas cooler 100 includes: a gas pipe 110 erected in the vertical direction; a container 120 for accommodating a part of the gas pipe 110; a supply part 130 for supplying a refrigerant C into the container 120; and a drain part 140 for feeding out the refrigerant C accommodated in the container 120 to the outside of the container 120, wherein the flow of the refrigerant C in the supply part 130 and/or the drain part 140 is adjusted to elevate the water level of the refrigerant C accommodated in the container 120, thereby controlling the temperature of gas G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
