<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve alignment precision of a chain sliding surface as well as strength of a boss part for inserting pivot pin, in a chain tensioner arm. <P>SOLUTION: A metal arm body 2 comprises a vertical plate part 20 extending from a base end part 2A to a tip part 2B, and a lateral plate part 21 which crosses the vertical plate part 20 orthogonally and extends in arc from the position outside the base end part 2A to the tip part 2B. The lateral cross section of the arm body 2 is L-shape (except for the base end part 2A) consisting of the vertical plate part 20 and the lateral plate part 21 orthogonal to each other. The base end part 2A of the arm body 2 is provided with a boss part 22 having a pivot hole 22a in which a pivot pin is inserted. A resin shoe 3 attached to the arm body 2 is provided with a base end part 3A comprising an engagement hole 30 for engaging with the boss part 22 of the arm body 2, a tip part 3B engaging with the tip part 2B of the arm body 2, and a chain sliding surface 3a extending in arc from the base end part 3A to the tip part 3B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
