PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information medium capable of reducing production cost while achieving smooth opening/closing of a lid. SOLUTION: The information medium is provided with a tape reel for winding a magnetic tape, a case main body for housing the tape reel in a rotatable way, a lid 7 for opening/closing an extraction opening for extracting the magnetic tape with a support plate 72 rotatably attached to the case main body, and a lid spring 8d which is disposed between the case main body and the lid 7 in a state in which one arm part 82 is locked by the top plate 31 of the case main body and the other arm part 83 is locked by the lid 7, and energizes the lid 7 in the rotational direction to close the extraction opening, wherein the arm part 82 is formed linearly, and a point part of the arm part 82 projects from an edge part of the extraction opening side in the top plate 31 while the lid spring 8d is disposed.
