PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footrest in which handleability is improved. SOLUTION: A footrest body 42 is formed by connecting end parts of both supporting parts held on a seat side by using a connecting member. The connecting member 41 is covered with an upper cover 81 and a lower cover 82. An elliptical opening part 95 on an upper cover side, which is long sideways, is provided between a foot placing part 94 and a bulge part 93 of a front edge of the upper cover 81. An elliptical opening part 131 on a lower cover side, which is long sideways, is provided on the lower cover 82. While the connecting member 41 is held between the upper cover 81 and the lower cover 82, an inserting hole 132 is formed by the opening part 95, the opening part 131, and an opening part 55 on a connecting member side of the connecting member 41.
