PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a storage case of a dust collecting pack detachably attached to a dust collecting chamber and a tiltable handle for the storage case. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner which has the dust collecting chamber 30 formed inside a body casing 20 and having a suction port 34 and an exhaust port 32, a lid body 40 closing the dust collecting chamber, and the storage case 50 mounted with the dust collecting pack 90 in the dust collecting chamber, is further provided with the handle 60 tiltably supported to the storage case, and an energizing means 64 energizing the handle in the direction raised from the dust collecting chamber in an un-loaded state. The lid body is projectingly provided with a guide rib 46 pushing the handle in the direction of tilting it toward the storage case side when the lid body is closed with the storage case stored in the dust collecting chamber.
