<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical irradiation probe where the spatial mass of external irradiation light is enlarged, and to provide an eye ground observing apparatus using the optical irradiation probe, and an eye ground operation apparatus, and an endoscope. <P>SOLUTION: The optical irradiation probe 1 includes: a light propagating part 2; and a light radiation part 5a, where the refracture index spatial distribution of the light radiation part is made to be different from that of the light propagating part. As one example, the optical irradiation probe 1 is obtained by constituting the light propagating part 2 to be an optical fiber 2 having a configuration, where a clad 2b with a refracture index being lower than that of a core 2a encloses the circumference of the core, constituting the light radiation part to have the refracture index being the same as that of the core and the uniform refracture index distribution, and arranging the light radiation part 5a at the end part side of the optical fiber 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
