PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a metallic material having a brazed material layer with uniform thickness in a width direction integrated on the surface of even a wide metallic sheet, with the use of a simple facility. SOLUTION: This manufacturing apparatus comprises: an uncoiler 2 for uncoiling the metallic sheet 1; a guide member 17 which transports the metallic sheet 1 which has been longitudinally uncoiled from the uncoiler 2, so as to form a U-shaped drooped portion 16; an application device 4 for applying a molten brazing material 7 to the surface of the metallic sheet 1 by dipping the drooped portion 16 of the metallic sheet 1 in the application device that accommodates the molten brazing material 7 therein; a cooling means 5 which cools the metallic sheet 1 coated with the molten brazing material 7 on the surface through the application device 4 to form a film of a solidified brazing material; a rolling device 6 for producing the metallic material 22 having the flat brazing material layer formed on the surface of the metallic sheet 1, by rolling the metallic sheet 1 having the film of the solidified brazing material thereon with the cooling means 5; and a coiler 3 which coils up the metallic material 22 produced by the rolling device 6.
