PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state laser device capable of achieving high-efficiency oscillation with a small excitation power. SOLUTION: The solid-state laser device is provided with a semiconductor laser that emits excitation light, a lens that collects the excitation light emitted from the semiconductor laser, and a solid-state laser medium that emits infrared light while receiving the excitation light. A thickness of the solid-state laser medium in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis is less than three times of a beam diameter of a TEM00 mode.
