PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method whereby design materials (scale-like materials or metal flake materials) are scattered over a whole wall face that is a vertical face, with uniformity even in a part, or uniformly scattered onto a wall face as a whole while their sizes are locally uneven, enabling the share ratio of the design materials to vary optionally: and to provide materials for coating. SOLUTION: The coating material for designing, is composed of a binding coating material having 2-25 Pa s viscosity and 2.2-2.7 TI value, with a scale-like material or a metal flake material, and is characterized by dispersing the scale-like material or the metal flake material by agitation.
