PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated wire having a coating layer with low environmental load, high corrosion resistance and high workability, and with high adhesiveness when depositing an organic layer on an upper layer. SOLUTION: A metal oxide (hydroxide) coated wire has a coating layer containing no phosphorus and mainly consisting of one or both of a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide except chromium for metal species.
