A jitter amplifier for amplifying or attenuating a jitter component included in an input signal is provided with a jitter demodulator for demodulating the jitter component from the input signal and an amplifying circuit for controlling a phase of the input signal so as to amplify or attenuate the jitter component. The amplifying circuit may include a variable delay circuit for delaying the input signal based on the jitter component and for outputting the delayed signal. The jitter demodulator outputs a voltage in response to the jitter component while the variable delay circuit may the input signal by a delay amount in response to the voltage value output by the jitter demodulator.
