PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the image quality of an image from being degraded by hitting ink droplets on a predetermined position by a predetermined size correspondingly to a change of a distance even if the distance between a nozzle tip and the printing surface of printing paper changes in an inkjet printer which is operated an actuator by inputting a driving pulse to the actuator while relatively moving an inkjet head in a main scanning direction to the printing paper, makes the ink droplets delivered from the nozzle and forms the image. SOLUTION: A laser Doppler sensor which detects the distance between the printing surface of the printing paper and the nozzle tip is set. At the same time, at least one of a shape and the input timing of the driving pulses Z and Q inputted to the actuator is changed on the basis of the distance detected by the Doppler sensor.
