The invention relates to ink compositions used in the form of an aroma fixer of aromatic materials dissolved therein or perfume blends applied to a substrate, for example to paper. The inventive aromography method for applying an image to a substrate by means of ink compositions with the aid of writing devices differs from the known methods in that it uses the ink compositions whose application to the substrate is associated with diffusion and fixation of characteristic pleasant odors - aromas. The claimed inventions relate to office engineering and can be used in different writing devices, for example such as fillable pens, fountain pens, ball and helium pens, flomasters, markers and printers. The invention can also relate to the perfume industry for using the ink composition in applying washable tattoo and pictures when the human or animal skin is used in the form of a substrate. The inventive ink compositions and aromography method make it possible to modify olfactory properties of the aroma substances or the composition thereof fixable to the substrate, to fix and diffuse aromas, to preserve the aroma long term presence on the substrate after the image or lettering application, to increase the comfort of the use of ink compositions, to stress the individuality of a person and to produce a remedial effect.
