PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a gas hydrate pellet by which the degradation rate of the gas hydrate is reduced by removing the heat generated at a compression part by a simple method when producing the gas hydrate pellet by compression molding of a gas hydrate powder by a rotating roll type gas hydrate pellet-producing apparatus. SOLUTION: The method for producing the gas hydrate pellet including contact reaction of a raw material gas with raw material water to afford the gas hydrate powder n, and carrying out the compression molding of the gas hydrate powder n by using the rotating roll type gas hydrate pellet-producing apparatus 2 is characterized by cooling rolls 21 of the gas hydrate pellet-producing apparatus 2 by circulating cooling water to the periphery parts and/or interiors of the rolls 21, and feeding the cooling water 13 after the circulation again to the periphery parts and/or the interiors of the rolls 21 by cooling the cooling water 13 after the circulation.
