ELECTRODELESS DISCHARGE LAMP AND LUMINAIRE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp device which surely starts lighting when collectively lighting a plurality of arc tubes and reduces a loss in a lighting circuit.

SOLUTION: Induction coils 102 and 103 are arranged in a plurality of arc tubes 111 and 112 respectively, and the coils arranged over the arc tubes 111 and 112 are connected to each other in series when viewed from power source side. Thus, the startability at the time of multi-lamp lighting is improved and the loss in the lighting circuit is reduced.
