PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device capable of enhancing the supporting rigidity of a steering shaft in the right-to-left direction of a vehicle body without providing any resin spacer. SOLUTION: A steering shaft 5 consisting of an upper shaft 5a and a lower shaft 5b which are relatively movable is provided between a pair of side brackets 13, 14 which are coupled with a vehicle body and protruded downwardly. An upper jacket 6a for supporting the upper shaft 5a is constituted slidable at an overlapping part 33 with respect to a first lower jacket 6c for supporting the lower shaft 5b. A fastening means 12 is provided, which telescopically couple the upper jacket 6a with the pair of side brackets 13, 14. A resin sleeve 9 interposed in the overlapping part 33 is fitted to an inner side of the first lower jacket 6c. A pair of protruding parts 9a formed in the resin sleeve 9 are protruded outward of the first lower jacket 6c via a through hole 27, and abutted on inner surfaces of the side brackets 13, 14.
