PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle engine system equipped with an electric supercharger, which enhances the energy efficiency. SOLUTION: The vehicle engine system 1 is provided with an engine 10, the electric supercharger 40 driven by an electric actuator 42 to supercharge air sucked by the engine 10, a thermoelectric converter 83 to recover the heat energy of the exhaust gas from the engine 10 so as to generate electricity, and a supercharger controller 90 to supply drive electric power to the electric actuator 42 using the electric power generated by the thermoelectric converter 83.
