PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording sheet which has the same feel of gloss as a film photo and also excels in ink absorbency and cutting properties.

SOLUTION: The sheet has an ink accepting layer on at least one side of a base and has a gloss layer on the ink accepting layer. The ink accepting layer contains a pigment and a binder. The binder contains copolymerized matter obtained by copolymerizing a conjugated diene monomer, an ethylenic unsaturated nitrile monomer copolymerizable with the conjugated diene monomer and/or an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester monomer in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol. The copolymerized matter is contained by 5-20 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the pigment in the ink accepting layer.
