PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder which facilitates a change in a mounting position of a bracket with a hook, and the fine adjustment of the mounting position. SOLUTION: This ladder comprises a pair of right and left supports 1 and 1, and a plurality steps of rungs 2 etc. which are horizontally laid at predetermined intervals between both the supports 1 and 1; a rack 3 with a required length, in which rack teeth are formed in the lengthwise direction of the support, is provided on the upper-end side of each of the right and left supports 1 and 1; meshing teeth, which are engageably/disengageably meshed with the rack teeth of the rack 3, are provided; and the sliding bracket 4 with the hook 5, fitted with the hook 5 latched to a latch bar 10 of a loft for which the ladder H is used, is fixed to each of the supports 1 in a required position, in which the meshing teeth of the bracket 4 are meshed with the rack teeth of the rack 3, by a fixing means 6.
