PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation wall for a road, which effectively exerts function of absorbing noise over a wide range of frequencies, and effectively absorbs noise occurring from tires of automobiles traveling on a roadway. SOLUTION: The sound insulation wall is provided with a sound absorbing board structure which has a sound absorbing board body 1 which is made of porous concrete and formed like a thick board by securing continuous voids in coarse aggregate and connecting and hardening the coarse aggregate by a binder of a cement-based hardening agent such as cement mill, and a sound insulation board 2 which is fixed to a rear surface of the sound absorbing board body 1 via a cavity. The sound absorbing board body 1 has a number of through holes opening to a front surface and the rear surface thereof, and each through hole is formed like a tapered hole having a smaller bore in the rear surface than a bore in the front surface of the sound absorbing board body 1. The sound insulation wall 10 is set up by using the sound absorbing board structure, specifically by arranging the sound insulation board on a front surface of the sound insulation wall 10 erected on an edge of the roadway, and securing the cavity 8 between the front surface of the sound insulation wall 10 and the sound absorbing board body 1.
