<p>This system for assisting in initiating the regeneration of a particle filter (11), placed in an exhaust line (8) of a motor vehicle engine (1), downstream of a turbine portion (9) of a turbocharger (3) and an oxidation catalyst (10), in series, of the type comprising means (13, 14) for evaluating the pressure of the gases between the turbine portion of the turbocharger and the oxidation catalyst in order to determine the state of soiling of the particle filter, is characterized in that the assessment means comprise a sensor (13) for detecting the pressure of the gases leaving the engine (1) and upstream of the turbine portion (9) of the turbocharger (3), and means (14) for determining the pressure of the gases between the turbine portion and the catalyst from this pressure of the gases leaving the engine.</p> |
