There is provided a download execution device capable of preventing at least sudden disturbance of user's view or recording during program download. An AM (1205b) includes a download source decision unit (2901) for comparing the current tuning information to a frequency required for downloading the program and deciding the download source, a tuning frequency acquisition unit (2902) for acquiring the tuner use state and the frequency being tuned by each tuner in use, a download frequency acquisition unit (2903) for acquiring a frequency required for downloading the program, a store unit (2904) for downloading the program from the decided download source and storing it, a report unit (2905) for reporting that the program is to be downloaded to a user, and a tuning request unit (2906) for tuning the specified tuner to the frequency required for downloading the program.
