An accumulator pack 16, for an electrical appliance (e.g. a cordless screwdriver), with a basic body 18, a locking unit 26 for locking the basic body 18 to an electrical appliance body 14, an operating element 30 for unlocking the basic body 18, which is provided for operation by an operator in an operating direction 32, and a removal direction 24 in which the basic body 18 can be removed from the electrical appliance after unlocking. At least one component of the unlocking operating direction is aligned against the removal direction 24. The operating element 30 may be a push button arranged as swivellable on the battery body 18 to release the latch 28 from engagement with the appliance. The push button is ideally pressed in a direction opposite to the removal direction 24 of the accumulator which reduces the likelihood of accidental removal of the accumulator since the direction in which button 30 is pushed is the same direction in which accumulator is inserted into the electrical appliance. |
