A rear projection type display apparatus and a transmission type screen are provided to obtain dewing prevention effect by coating a resin layer, an anti glare layer, and an inner diffuse layer on a glass substrate. A rear projection type display apparatus comprises a main body, a transmission type screen(5), and a video projection device. The transmission type screen has a three composition including a horizontal lenticular screen(10), a vertical lenticular screen(20), and a Fresnel screen(30), and a two composition including the horizontal lenticular screen or a fly-eye screen and the Fresnel screen. The Fresnel screen includes substrates(11,31) made of a glass material, at least one lens(17), an anti glare layer(13), and an inner diffuse layer(14) directly coated on the substrate but not provided by deposition.
