A coupling member for a container and the container having the same are provided to simplify the structure, to reduce the manufacturing cost, and to move up and down the container to the other position conveniently by using a hook, a twist lock, and a steel wire of a crane. A container(11) is composed of corner units(12) composed of a recessed part(12a) formed in the predetermined depth with opening one side and an opening part(12b) formed on at least one side of the recessed part, and installed at four spots of the upper and lower sides to prevent the water from flowing into the container from the outside through the recessed part and coupling members(10) attached on each corner unit and composed of an opening unit(10a) formed at one side and at least two through-holes(10b) formed on the other side and aligned in a line from the outer periphery of the corresponding corner unit to the outer side in the predetermined distance.
