A novel strain Streptococcus thermophilus ssp. salivarius (CD8), deposited on 4 of December 2001 at DSMZ - Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH, Braunschweig, Deutschland, with inventory number DSM 14667 for obtaining edible compositions, medicinal and veterinary products for prophylaxis/treatment of pathological states. Nutritional compositions, medicinal agents and veterinary products containing the said strain are efficiently used for prophylaxis/treatment of such pathological states as liver steatosis (fatty infiltration of liver) non-alcoholic liver steatosis, insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia and adiposity. |
